KZero: a first website for a multifaceted local food brand
KZero’s first website brings an established brand online through carefully structured content, authentic photography and clear navigation.

Where we started.
KZero had no website, but it already had a distinctive identity and a strong social media presence. Working with the people inside the business, we translated what KZero does every day into content and journeys that also make sense to first-time visitors.
The challenge.
The butcher’s shop, deli, restaurant, farm, local shop and street food service belong to one business. A generic presentation would miss what makes it distinctive. The website needed to serve both people from Piacenza and visitors looking for the area’s traditional cuisine, without overwhelming them with its many pages.
What we did.
- Structured main sections and detailed pages around the client’s brief and materials.
- Worked with the business on copy about its preparations, supply chain, traditions and philosophy.
- Adapted the existing logo, red and black palette, photography and style to the website.
- Built a hierarchical desktop menu, expandable mobile navigation and contextual links.
- Optimised real photographs, with consistent-height galleries and zoom for content images.
- Prepared an events section for future dates and stories about past events.
- An installable web app that reopens the website from a device icon in compatible browsers.
What the website is designed to make easier.
- Introduce the full offering to people discovering KZero for the first time.
- Help visitors find their area of interest and move from detailed information to contact.
- Complement social communication with a lasting home for copy, photographs and events.
Strategy, experience and digital system.
The choices that have transformed separate channels into a coherent digital presence.
An established brand, translated to the web.
The design reflects KZero’s visual language: black, red and photographs of its spaces and preparations. The aim was to carry the existing identity onto the website with the same consistency as its other communication.
Everyday work becomes a concrete story.
The copy was developed and refined with people who know the business from within. Topics include the Botti farm, fresh pasta, marinades, the deli and collaboration between departments in the dynamic menu. Each subject has its own space while remaining connected to the shared philosophy.
Many pages, a clear structure.
The homepage introduces KZero’s different activities, and each section leads to more detailed pages. Desktop and mobile navigation share the same hierarchy. Category images open the relevant pages, while content photographs can be enlarged.
KZero, one icon away.
The website is also configured as an installable web app: compatible browsers can add it to the device with the KZero name and icon. Opening that icon brings up the same website pages and content in a dedicated window, providing a direct way for returning visitors to access KZero.
A positive first response, without premature metrics.
Initial feedback gathered during the project is positive. The website has only just launched: we present no traffic, booking or growth figures. The benefits described are project objectives to assess over time.
